Recycling is the act of processing used materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials and to reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials. Recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction and is the third component of the “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle” waste hierarchy. Textile recycling is the method of reusing or reprocessing used clothing, fibrous material and clothing scraps from the manufacturing process.
