 Summary

Dr.Ashok Itagi is a Distinction M.Tech, PhD (Tech) holder having 32 years of Experience in Academic, Research and Industrial setups, covering states of Karnataka, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. He has worked in Govt Research Institute, Engineering colleges and Textile Industry.

He has published/presented 27 Technical papers in various National and International (peer reviewed) Journals and conferences.He holds non disclosure agreement with NID- Ahmadabad in Design incubation. His research on NMR on wool earned him fellowship offered by Indian national Science academy at Indian Institute of Science- Bangalore.

He served as Syndicate Member Akkamahadevi Women’s University. Vijayapura.He is Life member Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Textile Association India (TAI).He was/is on the panel of Universities as Chairman/member of academic and Examination Boards etc.
He was instrumental in setting up innovative resources center at DKTES Textile &Engg College Ichalkaranji (M.S) in collaboration with IIT-Chennai,IIT-Mumbai, IIT-Delhi and NIFT-Delhi. Further he set up the Fashion Technology Institute for women for KLE-Society at Belgaum.He was a consultant/appraiser for setting Technical Institution.

His technical papers (Textiles & Fashion) were selected for presentations at USA, Egypt, and Hong Kong at World conferences and Asian conferences.

He was felicitated by Honorable P.M (then Chief Minister of Gujarat) Shri Narendra Modi for his Innovative creative design at National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad-2005.
His Name was selected for inclusion in Marquis Whos Who in the world (Biographical resource on Global Achievers) for the Year 2007- NJ. U.S.A.

He also received LEADING EDUCATORS OF THE WORLD 2008 from Leading Professionals of the World England.
International Institute for Social and Economic Reforms Bangalore selected his name for Dr. Abdul Kalam Lifetime Achievement Award-2012 for works in the fields of Teaching, Research and administration spanning 25 years.
